We wanted something that visually looked better and more professional. It also needed to feel easier to use and access, and we knew an app would play a big part in improving the employee experience - as that would be how the majority of employees would use and access the HR platform. This would enable us to have the connectivity to all colleagues across the business.
One of the deciding factors was the Access PeopleXD mobile app. It was more advanced in comparison to the others. It’s user friendly, has a great interface, and we knew instantly that rolling out the mobile app out across the business would be hugely successful.
Although our principle driver was a financial one, the results have far surpassed simply a monetary value. We have been able to insource significant activity back into the Bank without the requirement to increase headcount within our People function via the increased and improved use of self-service by both our colleagues and leaders.
