Employees across the UK, Romania, Ireland, Australia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Malaysia and America took on a packed calendar of fundraising events over the past year, with every pound matched by the business.
The Access Foundation also had a successful year of funding, approving 66 employee-nominated charity grants across six countries, worth £330,000.
Caroline Fanning, Chief Employee Success Officer at The Access Group, said:
“Once again, our people have shown what’s possible when generosity meets real determination. 1.5 million is a brilliant result and it’s a testament to every walk, climb, abseil and auction lot that got us there. As we close one chapter of giving back, we’re excited to open another, with nine new charity partners chosen by our people, for our people, ready to make the same kind of difference in the year ahead. As part of our cultural programme, – Thrive (which also includes Wellbeing, Inclusion and Belonging, and Environment) Giving is at the heart of our mission for everyone to ‘Love Work. Love Life. Be You’.”
Highlights included the Camino Way 66km walk (£173,000) the London to Paris cycle (£71,000), the UK Gala and Prizes with Purpose auction and prize draw (£80,000), the UK Lotto (£64,000), the Big Monopoly Walk (£34,000), a Board members’ London walk (£36,000) and a series of skydives (£25,000). Elsewhere, the Romania Gala raised 194,000 lei, the Croke Park Abseil in Ireland raised €11,000, the CEO’s Dare to Cure challenge in Australia raised $166,000, Bloom & Give in Vietnam raised $32,000, and the global Giving Tuesday campaign added £86,000. Over 3,500 people took part in giving activities across the business this year.
Caroline Scates, Director of Nursing Services at Dementia UK, The Access Group’s UK Charity of the Year for 2025/26, said:
“We are hugely grateful to The Access Group and its employees for their support through this partnership. Thanks to an impressive range of fundraising challenges, events and grants they have enabled us to reach more people affected by dementia through our specialist Admiral Nurses. It’s been brilliant to see so many people from Access take on inspiring and impressive challenges since the partnership launched, and their hard work and dedication has helped families facing dementia access the practical and emotional support they need.”
