North Northamptonshire Council Case Study
North Northamptonshire Council previous systems were fragmented and increasingly difficult to maintain. Practitioners often had to work across more than one system to understand a person’s story, leading to duplication, inconsistent data and unnecessary administrative burden.
From a management and assurance perspective, this limited our ability to clearly track demand, performance, waiting times and outcomes in real time, particularly during periods of increased pressure on services.
Why North Northamptonshire chose Mosaic
Mosaic was selected because it provides an integrated, end‑to‑end Adult Social Care case management system that brings together practice, finance and performance data in one place. It supports statutory Care Act processes, enables more consistent and strengths‑based recording, and allows managers to oversee demand and workflow more effectively.
Crucially, Mosaic replaces multiple systems with a single platform, reducing complexity and allowing the Council to design workflows that reflect how Adult Social Care actually operates, rather than forcing staff to work around system limitations.
Ultimately, Mosaic will improve how we work with and support people who draw on care and support. Mosaic will help ensure their information is accurate, joined‑up and consistently recorded, supporting better decision‑making and continuity of care. For practitioners, it reduces duplication and supports more time spent on direct work rather than administration. For leaders and members, Mosaic enables clearer insight into demand, waiting lists and performance, supporting improvement and assurance
What they are implementing
The Mosaic programme is more than a technical IT change. It includes system configuration for Adult Social Care practice and finance, migration of legacy data, development of improved dashboards and performance reporting, and structured training and support for staff. Dedicated specialist roles have been put in place to manage configuration, data migration, and delivery governance
