Access Patient Flow Manager (APFM) is our patient flow management software solution, providing real-time bed occupancy information at-a-glance.

What is patient flow management? In a nutshell, it's a means of improving communication across multidisciplinary teams. Interoperability through integration with existing systems means that solutions like Access Patient Flow Management (APFM) can communicate back-and-forth with our own solutions and those from other providers.
This then allows for the real-time updates and monitoring. Healthcare organisations can access data provided in other solutions through APFM, allowing them to manage patient admissions and then plan and allocate patients to designated wards.

One of the main reasons to install Bed Management was that there was no standardisation across the Trust - we would do our ward handovers at the end of the shift, using multiple processes such as Microsoft Word, Excel, or even physical paper, which could be time consuming.
Now we have an up to date view of every bed from every ward. We're able to see how many beds are occupied, and which ones are free. We also have a full view of the patient journey, which greatly improves the patient experience.
