The results are in from the Hospitality People Survey 2026!
Together with a number of other leading hospitality organisations, we surveyed hospitality employees on everything from their salary, wellbeing, technology, tipping and the benefits that matter most; helping you benchmark effectively and build a stronger, more engaged team.
Here’s a snapshot of some of the results

63% believe their salary fairly reflects their role - up from 51% in 2025

81% report experiencing imposter syndrome after a pay rise - a sharp increase from 38% in 2025

Fewer employees are working over their contracted hours, with 11+ extra hours dropping to 22% (from 30% in 2025), and 16+ hours falling to 7% (from 22%)

78% are now being paid for additional hours - almost double last year’s 41%

52% feel they’ve received sufficient training to perform their role - up from 48%
-
Only 4% have received no training at all - significantly down from 17% in 2025
-
52% see AI as helpful in their job - up from 41% last year
