Donorfy Product Update: June 2026

This release includes: 

• The new Donorfy API, 
• Mailchimp integration enhancements
• Dotdigital integration enhancements
• Online Fundraising updates to enable new SMS capabilities 
• Evo platform improvements
• a range of bug fixes addressing issues raised by customers and partners. 

These updates are applied automatically to your Donorfy account, you don't have to do anything to benefit from everything below.

We are continuing to develop and expand the new Donorfy API and want to keep you informed of progress as we work towards a release.

The following capabilities have been completed this month: 

Constituent Management 

• List Constituents – Retrieve a paginated, filterable, and sortable list of constituents via the API.
• Get Constituent by ID – Retrieve full details for a single constituent.
• Update Constituent – Update constituent records via the API using PATCH requests.
• Delete Constituent – Remove constituent records via the API.
• Duplicate Detection – Check for potential duplicate constituents before creating new records.
• Audit Logging – All additions, updates, and deletions made via the API are now recorded in the constituent change log. 

Campaigns 

• List Campaigns – Retrieve a paginated list of campaigns with filtering by type, status, year, and owner. 

Lookups 

• Lookup Types & Values – New endpoints for retrieving lookup types and their associated values, enabling integrations to validate data against your configured options. 

Lists 

• List Definitions – Retrieve your list definitions via the API, including filtering by list type.
• List Detail – Retrieve full list definition details by ID.
• List Types – Retrieve available list types. 

API Rate Limiting 

Rate limiting has been introduced to ensure fair usage and platform stability. Overall this should lead to a more secure API which is consistently available and performs well for all users. Limits vary by subscription tier (Starter, Professional, Enterprise). 

Dotdigital integration upgrade 

The Donorfy integration with Dotdigital has been upgraded to use their latest API (v3). This is being rolled out gradually and will be communicated as it is enabled on your account: 

• All contact operations now use Dotdigital’s current, actively supported API endpoints.
• The integration now routes to the correct regional endpoint for your Dotdigital account, ensuring optimal performance and data residency compliance.
• Bulk import handling has been modernised, with improved support for preferences and list assignments in a single request. 

No action is needed on your part – your existing settings, address books, and sync configurations remain the same.

Mailchimp integration enhancements (rolling out) 

A major set of improvements to the Mailchimp integration is being rolled out and will be communicated as features are enabled on your account: 

• Automated Nightly Sync – You can now enable an automated overnight sync to keep your Mailchimp audiences up to date without manual intervention. This is opt-in and not enabled by default. 
• Data Field Mapping – Map Donorfy data fields (e.g. postcode, lifetime giving total) directly to Mailchimp merge fields, enabling personalised email content and dynamic audience segmentation.
• Smarter Automation Triggers – Mailchimp automation triggers now automatically add new constituents to your audience before firing, so welcome journeys and follow-ups work immediately for new donors.
• Richer Timeline Activity – Mailchimp email sends, bounces, and unsubscribes are now visible on the constituent timeline in Donorfy.
• Reliability Fixes – Syncs no longer include bounced/inactive email addresses, email amendments no longer trigger unintended bulk syncs, and partial sync issues with large audiences have been resolved. 

Online Fundraising – SMS capabilities

New SMS features are being enabled via feature flags and will be communicated to you as they are activated on your account: 

• SMS Opt-Out Handling – When a constituent replies to an SMS with an opt-out keyword (e.g. "STOP"), Donorfy now automatically updates their SMS communication preference and records an activity on their profile.
• Trigger-Based SMS Sending – A new "Send an SMS to a constituent" action is now available in Triggers, allowing you to automate SMS messages in response to events such as new donations or constituent updates. Delivery status is tracked in the trigger run log.
• Improved Form Data Handling – Online Fundraising form data is now read more reliably, reducing instances where custom fields or tags from form submissions were previously appearing blank. 

• Fixed navigation issues where app.donorfy.com was not correctly redirecting to Evo tabs.
• Task notification links from Donorfy now work correctly within the Evo platform.
• Users assigned to an existing Evo organisation are now correctly assigned when a new organisation is created.
• Fixed an issue where users were being immediately logged out after logging in to Donorfy.
• Resolved a problem where Trial users could not log in after setting their password. 

Triggers 

• Fixed an issue where triggers were not firing when a transaction summary was updated.
• Fixed a bug where the “Only run if all previous actions are successful” setting on trigger actions was not being saved correctly. 

Forms 

• Resolved an issue where the duplicate checker on forms was incorrectly comparing address fields, which could lead to duplicate constituents being created.
• Fixed a problem where forms would break if GoCardless was not connected to the tenancy.
• Resolved an issue where membership forms displayed “£NaN” instead of the correct amount. 

Gift Aid 

• Fixed an issue where constituents with British Overseas Territories postcodes (e.g. Falkland Islands, Gibraltar) were not being correctly marked as overseas in Gift Aid claims submitted to HMRC. 

GoCardless 

• Resolved a race condition that could prevent the Membership Paid Up To date from being updated when processing GoCardless payments. 

Financial & Reporting 

• Fixed an issue where pledges were not being currency converted correctly in Giving Stats.
• Resolved an issue where the Constituent Tag list PDF report was generating with no data.
• Fixed a bug where renaming a campaign was not reflected on Activity Lists, which could also cause related triggers to fail. 

API (v1) 

• Fixed an issue where the API Connections endpoint (PUT) was not updating the new ToDate and FromDate columns.
• Resolved a bug where API calls for non-reciprocal connections were not returning the correct Connected To ID. 

Integrations 

• Fixed an issue where the Xero integration could return an “invalid_request” error during initial connection setup.
• Resolved a bug where the Online Fundraising integration could incorrectly link transactions to a constituent on one record while associating the RPI with another constituent.
• Fixed an issue where Enthuse PageCreatedDate values included time components that broke list filters. 

User Interface (UI) 

• Improved the visual distinction between checked and unchecked checkbox states, making them easier to differentiate.
• Fixed broken map displays on Constituent profiles.
• Fixed dead links in the “Suspicious Form Activity” notification emails.
• Resolved an issue where updating Tag Category constituent types would incorrectly show “A Tag Category with this name already exists” error. 

• The Online Fundraising SMS, Dotdigital v3, and Mailchimp enhancement features are being rolled out gradually. You'll be notified as each feature is enabled on your account.
