What are the benefits of the Donorfy + PayPal integration?
PayPal gives supporters an additional, familiar way to make one-off donations directly from your Donorfy forms – no card details needed. Once set up, PayPal appears automatically alongside card payment options, so supporters can choose what works best for them.
What do I need to get started?
You'll need a PayPal merchant account for your organisation, a personal PayPal account won't work.
Once you have one, you create an app in the PayPal Developer Dashboard to generate your API credentials, then add those to Donorfy's PayPal Settings.
After that, PayPal appears on your forms automatically.
Does PayPal work for recurring donations?
It doesn't, the PayPal integration supports one-off donations and payments only.
For recurring Direct Debit donations, Donorfy integrates with GoCardless, and for recurring card payments, Stripe is an option.
Does Donorfy also support Apple Pay and Google Pay?
Of course! Apple Pay, Google Pay and Microsoft Pay can also be added to Donorfy Web Widgets alongside PayPal, giving supporters even more ways to give.
