How do I go about transferring from paper-based to digital?
Migrating from paper-based to digital systems can be daunting. However, with the support of the Access project team and our standardised Flightpath implementation methodology, we can help ensure your project is as smooth as possible and that you are reaping the benefits of digitisation in no time, taking the following steps:
Start with the end in mind
Set clear project outcomes and timelines with your Access Project Manager to give you an idea of what you want your project to achieve, the timescales and resources needed.
Scope your project
Your Access project manager will work with you to understand how to configure the system around your requirements, including the configuration of roles, assessments, risk plans & care plans).
Deploy and Train
After configuring your environment, it is now time to deploy the tool to the devices in place across the home and train your staff. This is a 2-part process with formalised classroom training for key staff members who then cascade training under a train-the-trainer model and E-learning on your chosen application for all staffing groups.
Onboarding and Go Live
Following training, we then recommend the completion of 'onboarding assessments' within the application to capture the critical needs, risks & goals of all your residents and create skeleton care plans within the application. These plans should provide your staff with all the high-level information they need to deliver care to residents at the point of go live.
Can you access the Care and Clinical software if the internet goes down?
Yes, as Care Evidencing is a critical task, staff always need to be able to evidence the care they have provided at the point of care. Access Care & Clinical features a full offline capacity, meaning staff can focus on evidencing care regardless of their connectivity status.
Once a connection is re-established, the system will sync all the entered data automatically, without requiring manual syncing or docking of devices.
