FAQ: Proclaim Hosting
Will migrating to cloud hosting disrupt the firm?
No. We manage the migration and plan it around your firm's schedule. Most migrations are completed without any disruption to day-to-day operations. We have moved firms of all sizes, including those with complex setups, and we handle the project management from start to finish.
Can you host our other applications alongside Proclaim?
Yes. We regularly host dictation software, accounts packages, telephone solutions, and other third-party applications in the same environment as Proclaim. Everything your firm uses is accessible from one place. Get in touch and we will confirm compatibility for your specific applications.
What happens if Proclaim goes down?
Our hosting environment runs in highly available UK datacentres with automatic failover. If there is a hardware issue, your environment switches over automatically and your fee earners keep working. For any issues that do arise, priority incidents are covered 24/7 with a 30-second average answer time.
Is our data stored in the UK?
Yes. All data is hosted in our UK datacentres. It does not leave the UK. This is important for SRA compliance and for firms with client confidentiality obligations around data residency.
We are a small firm. Is cloud hosting worth it for us?
Cloud PC Lite is designed specifically for smaller firms, up to 25 users, and provides a cost-effective way to move Proclaim to the cloud without a full IT overhaul. Many of our clients are small practices that simply want reliable, secure access to Proclaim without the burden of managing on-premise servers.
What is the difference between Cloud PC Lite and the full managed service?
Cloud PC Lite provides hosted Proclaim with application-level support. It is designed for firms that manage their own endpoints or have another IT provider for day-to-day support. The full managed service adds complete IT support, endpoint monitoring, security, and Microsoft Teams. Everything is managed by us. For firms over 25 users, or those without an existing IT provider, the full managed service is usually the right choice.
