Laura Overton is a researcher and pattern-maker dedicated to surfacing and sharing collective wisdom about how L&D drives business value. With 35+ years journeying alongside thousands of learning leaders and suppliers, she explores the strategies and tactics that lead to success in the evolving workplace learning landscape. Co-author (with Michelle Ockers) of The L&D Leader (Kogan Page, 2025) and founder of Learning Changemakers, Laura led the pioneering Towards Maturity research study for 15 years, producing over 70 reports. She continues research with the CIPD and is the first woman to receive the LPI Colin Corder Award. Her work questions boundaries and reveals patterns across disruption that prepare L&D for the future.
