Background
Trelleborg is a globally recognised sealing company specialising in engineered polymer solutions. With Trelleborg’s operations being organised into five business areas and a number of group functions, there is a large amount of staff to consider.
Trelleborg brand has existed for more than 100 years, and their corporate responsibility covers all aspects of sustainability, environments, relationships with stakeholders and health and safety issues.
What was the challenge?
Trelleborg needed a health and safety solution that was relevant and current, which also saved on “man hours” as well as “machine hours”. They desperately needed an improvement from their usual training of videos and hired consultants.
The solution
After trialling the Access Health & Safety software, Trelleborg came back to Access People and requested to upgrade to the complete Access Health & Safety solution within just a couple of months.
Access People migrated all the information over to the upgraded solution and provided in depth training on the added functionality. This also included site visits to assist with the transition.
Trelleborg use 24 of Access People’s interactive eLearning courses; the greater usage being COSHH, Fire Safety, Manual Handling and Workplace Safety. Relevant and reliable training that’s replicable across multiple sites and easy to use software, is exactly what Trelleborg required.
Access People were delighted to offer Trelleborg the option to Beta test our software modules which they endeavoured to do with Gusto.
Trelleborg’s feedback helped us form the final software packages which are now available.
The results
Feedback from Trelleborg has shown that with Access Health & Safety, not only has the company managed to save on the cost of consultants and production losses, but the general knowledge and awareness levels of health & safety have increased beyond their expectations.
The company have truly embraced eLearning, with employees completing 820 courses to date and consistently provide very positive feedback regarding the course content and Access Learning functionality.
They have embraced the software tools and are particularly complimentary about the Audit, Risk Assessment and Incident Reporting functionality.
Due to the expert health and safety training provided by Access People, Trelleborg can concentrate on their vision and strategy and continue being experts in their own field.
