Every school and trust is different, so we offer three FlightPaths for Access Education Finance. Your onboarder helps you pick the right one at the start.
Welcome and discovery
Your onboarding starts with a welcome call to walk through the journey, agree who does what, and confirm your first steps. We then create your account and logins, so your system is ready and your team can get in and start following the set-up steps with us.
Configuration
We run through your set-up together and show you where each piece of data feeds through to your reporting.
Data migration
We import your Chart of Accounts and map codes to ensure they are configured as requested. Getting this right early is what makes your reporting trustworthy from the first day you go live.
Training
Your team learns how to use their new system through guided e-learning sessions covering every area they'll use, from set-up through to reporting. A checklist and guided walkthroughs inside the software mean your team can work through set-up at their own pace, with progress we can both track.
Check and confirm
Your consultant runs regular check-in sessions to confirm your set-up and training are on track, and each outcome is being met. We check everything is right before you commit to go-live, so there are no surprises.
Go-live and sign-off
Once you're trained and confident, we ask you to sign off and hand you over to our support team. After go-live, we check your outcomes have been met, and our onboarding team supports you through your first 30 days.
We don't walk away once you're live. Every FlightPath includes handover to our support team, a check that you're getting what you set out to achieve, and 30 days of support from your onboarder as you settle in.
Beyond that, you have access to our community support portal, ongoing product updates, and our education finance support team when you need them.

It depends on the size and complexity of your organisation. For a single school, 70% of customers go live within 9 weeks, and some in as little as 8. For a single academy trust or a larger multi-academy trust, 70% go live within 14 weeks, with the quickest at around 12. Your onboarder agrees a realistic timeline with you at the start.
A single school typically needs around 20 hours of your team's time to reach go-live. A single academy trust needs around 35 hours, and a larger or more complex multi-academy trust around 40. We're upfront about this from day one so you can plan around it.
There are six stages: welcome and set-up, configuration, data migration, training, check and confirm, then go-live and sign-off. Each stage has a clear outcome and a named onboarder guiding you through it.
