Diversifying income and improving user experience

Brainwave was seeking to diversify their income sources and provide a more integrated donation experience for supporters, whilst simultaneously getting more engagement from the parents and families of their beneficiaries and other users of the site.

To do this they knew that they would need to have a website that would not only have an improved user experience but upgraded the integrated functionality of the website as a platform to achieve these goals.

Increased donations, boosting user engagement

The new website achieved dramatic and tangible success on each of the charities aims. In terms of the behaviour of site users, page views increased by 20%, unique website visitors went up by 7.5% and average session times increased by 27% suggesting a major shift in user engagement.

Meanwhile, the website has now also become a key driver of revenue for the charity and delivering on their goal of diversifying their charitable income. Monthly revenue through the website has reached an average of £4,800, resulting in over £55,000 raised within the first year of the website being launched.
