Digital Construction Week 2019: using technology to save time
Access Group will be speaking at industry show Digital Construction Week, 16 & 17 October 2019.
Appearing on the Tech Stage on day two, Andy Day will be sharing how software can save precious time in construction and release people from admin heavy tasks.
Looking specifically at estimating, surveying and project tendering, he will explain how some contractors have gained 32 extra hours per tender, per estimator every year, thanks to a new approach to the way they collect, store and share project data.
This frees up time to focus on more strategic activity.
Speaking in advance of his slot, Andy said: “Companies no longer have to rely on unwieldy, bespoke Excel spreadsheets to handle data. Small investments, both in terms of cost and implementation, can have a significant impact on margins, through enhanced productivity and management of cost data and processes.”
The session will also outline how estimators, quantity surveyors and finance directors can manage and share project data through one common system, making information more accurate, more transparent and easier for everyone to access.
