Access Health Support and Care Joins The Care Workers’ Charity as a Sponsor

Access Health Support and Care (HSC) are joining The Care Workers’ Charity (CWC) as a Sponsor and are helping to raise awareness of the support offered by the charity.

The support given will widen the reach of CWC and will ensure more care workers in need can receive support.

Steve Sawyer, Managing Director, Access HSC commented: “We are proud to be sponsoring the Care Workers Charity and their phenomenal work in supporting almost 2 million care workers across the UK.

The current climate of soaring energy and fuel prices, along with the cost-of-living crisis is hitting the sector hard, it’s never been more important for business to support our care workers.

Access HSC works with over 12,000 registered care locations across the UK including community services, care homes and home care and we are witnessing first-hand how once again this sector, through chronic underfunding lacks sufficient resources to help care workers do their job.

The Care Workers Charity supports our sector’s people directly, through their crisis grants they make a real and immediate difference to the lives of carers. They have also launched a Mental Health Support programme for individuals to offer free treatment to those that need it.

We look forward to working with the fantastic team at CWC and hope that our contribution can help ease some of the pressure that care workers face on a daily basis.”

Karolina Gerlich, CEO of the CWC says ‘We are very grateful that Access HSC has decided to support the CWC by becoming a Sponsor.

By supporting us in this way Access HSC is supporting the social care workforce and showing their admiration of the amazing work achieved in social care.

The Care Workers’ Charity is a national charity that supports people working in social care in the UK with financial and mental health support.

Working in social care is a rewarding role, however it comes with its challenges.

The CWC is a safety net for care workers and their families who are struggling and might not have the means to support themselves.

A grant of £500 for a family means they can continue to heat their house over winter, repair their car to ensure they can get to work.

Our support eases the stress for care workers and helps them to keep caring.
