The opportunity is by invitation only. Please DO NOT upload any documents to ADAM/SProc.Net unless invited to do so by a member of Cambridgeshire County Council staff. If you have not been invited to join the scheme, your application will be automatically rejected, and you will not be allowed to proceed.
What is the opportunity?
The Care Micro Enterprise scheme was set up to help Cambridgeshire residents to stay living independently in their homes for longer. Care Micro‑Enterprises (CMEs) are small, community‑focused local care providers who deliver personalised, flexible support to people in their local area.
Criteria for Joining the Care Micro‑Enterprise Trusted Provider List (ADAM)
The scheme supports established small local care businesses to grow and supports residents with the right care credentials who wish to set up their own care businesses. To ensure high‑quality, place‑based care, all applicants to the CME Trusted Provider List must meet the criteria outlined below.
Business Eligibility
To qualify as a Care Micro‑Enterprise, applicants must demonstrate that they meet all of the following:
1. Have an established office base within the county of Cambridgeshire
2. Fewer than 10 full‑time equivalent (FTE) staff including Directors, Managers, Admin staff and Zero hours staff currently delivering work.
3. Annual turnover below £2 million
4. Care businesses must not be a franchise or a division of a larger company
These requirements ensure that CMEs can operate locally, build trusted relationships, continuity of care, closely connected to the communities they support.
Further Information and questions
If you meet the four criteria above, please email the CME Development team, stating where your office is based and providing a contact phone number and name so that we can contact suitable applicants to follow up.
