Since opening in November 2024, the KL GOC has created 316 high-value digital jobs increasing the total employee headcount by 58% in 12 months and plans to exceed 1,000 jobs by 2027, reinforcing Access’s commitment to investing in people, innovation, and Malaysia’s digital economy.
Located at The Exchange 106, the Kuala Lumpur centre is a strategic hub in Access’s worldwide network of Global Operations Centres. These centres underpin the Group’s mission to deliver exceptional customer experiences, innovative products, and scalable global operations, all supercharged by AI-powered tools and platforms.

Terry Taylor, Chief Operating Officer of The Access Group, said:
“Our KL Centre is a cornerstone of Access’s global growth strategy. We are building a network of Global Operations Centres (GOCs) that deliver operational excellence and reflect our brand, culture, and ambition. Malaysia’s skilled talent pool and digitally advanced business environment make KL the ideal location to scale our operations, unlock the potential of AI and support our customers worldwide.
Access continues to grow rapidly across APAC, Europe, and the US. Our investment in KL is part of a broader vision to create centres of excellence that drive AI-powered innovation, support communities, and develop future leaders. The GOC model enables us to harness regional strengths while maintaining a consistent global standard of service and delivery.”

Chee Gay Lim, Managing Director of Access GOC Kuala Lumpur, added:
“Access is fast becoming an employer of choice in KL and beyond. The GOC has showcased the incredible potential of local talent, especially in software engineering and customer service. We are proud of the partnerships we have built with universities and the impact we are making through our early career programmes.”
“Our vision for the KL GOC goes beyond job creation. We are building a centre of excellence that reflects the values and ambition of The Access Group. We have worked hard to create a culture where people feel empowered, supported and inspired to grow. From our graduate academy to sustainability initiatives, we invest in people and purpose.”
In the last 12 months, Access has established strategic partnerships with four leading Malaysian universities, including Heriot-Watt University Malaysia , INTI International University & Colleges, UTAR and TAR UMT while The Access Foundation has awarded scholarships to 4 disadvantaged undergraduates to attend University of Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR). These collaborations are designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry needs offering students hands-on experience through internships, joint research projects and real-world exposure to business challenges.

Access has also launched its Graduate Academy and welcomed 3 cohorts of 62 graduates into structured programmes across Product & Engineering and Global Technology Services. Designed to fast-track young professionals into impactful roles, the Academy blends technical training, mentorship and practical experience to build confidence and capability.

Additionally, as part of its commitment to national talent development, Access is also a proud partner of the Malaysian government-backed K-Youth Programme, led by Khazanah Nasional. This initiative supports graduate employability by providing structured training, career pathways and industry engagement.
Through its involvement, Access is helping to empower young Malaysians with the tools and opportunities to succeed in high-value digital roles, aligning with the country’s ambition to create 500,000 digital jobs by 2025.
As part of its commitment to giving back, Access GOC KL has also supported several local charitable initiatives. In the past year, employees raised over MYR 315,150 for the SUKA Society and are now fundraising for Charity of the Year Orphancare Foundation, The Access Foundation has also awarded grant to the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society.

The GOC also plays a key role in Access’s ESG strategy. In July, employees partnered with TAR UMT and the Earth Warriors Association to plant mangrove saplings in Kampung Sijangkang, marking World Mangrove Day. The team has also worked with Zero Waste Malaysia on an Upcycling Day promoting waste reduction.
As Access celebrates this milestone, the Kuala Lumpur GOC stands as a powerful symbol of the company’s belief that people and AI drive exponential growth, resulting in impact for employees, customers, and communities worldwide.
