5 Minutes with Lisa Callaghan
1. Who are you and what do you do at Access Group?
I’m Lisa, an Account Executive working with our Irish customers to drive growth and deliver meaningful business outcomes. Day to day, I partner with care providers to understand their challenges, align the right solutions, and help them realise value from their technology investments. My focus is on building strong relationships, simplifying complex problems, and delivering results that matter.
2. What's your background - how did you end up here?
I celebrate 12 years with the Access Group in September, building my career around working closely with our customers to solve complex business challenges and drive growth. What prompted my recent move to the Care team was the opportunity to combine commercial thinking with genuinely helping organisations make better, smarter decisions.
I ended up here because I enjoy the pace, the people, and the impact. I get to see firsthand how the right approach and solutions can really move the needle for a customer.
3. Access Group in Ireland - what does that actually mean?
It means we're here. Not just selling into Ireland from elsewhere, we have people on the ground who understand the landscape, HIQA requirements, and the day-to-day realities of running a care service in this country. Irish providers deserve a partner who gets their world, and that's what we're building.
4.What's the biggest thing holding Irish care providers back right now?
Time spent on paperwork that should be spent on people. Most providers I talk to know they need to change - they're just stretched. The good news is that going digital doesn't add to the workload. Done right, it cuts it.
5. What does 'going digital' actually change for a care team?
Everything feels less reactive. Staff aren't scrambling at the end of a shift. Managers can see what's happening in real time. Inspections become less stressful because the evidence is already there. It's not about technology for its own sake, it's about giving people the headspace to focus on care.
6. What would you say to a provider who's been putting it off?
I'd say: I understand why, and you're not alone. But the gap between providers who've made the move and those who haven't is growing. My job is to make the transition feel manageable, not like a leap in the dark. Come and have a conversation. No pressure, no jargon.
7. Finally, what do you love most about this work?
What I love most is the moment when something really clicks for a customer, when a solution stops being just technology and starts making their day-to-day work easier or more effective. That sense of impact, even in a small way, is hugely motivating.
I’m also excited by how quickly things are evolving in the sector. There’s so much opportunity to help organisations work smarter and deliver better outcomes, and being part of that journey with them is what keeps it interesting.
