What 3 things do you always carry with you in your bag/pocket?

  1. Noise cancelling headphones
  2. Allergen cards! Lol – you never know when you may need them at an event or otherwise
  3. Perfume – running round at events it is needed or for a quick spritz at the office.

How do you think your team would describe you?

Positive, creative, and smiley.

What do you do on days when you feel unmotivated?

A power list! 3 core things that I want to get done by the end of the day. Defining it down to just 3 actions help block out the noise and ensures it get the things that take priority done.

What has been your biggest professional challenge in the last year?

I moved from 1 team to 5. At one point I was managing 15 heads across 5 different soft Co's. Managing my time and insights into each sector was challenging but it was very successful and a great challenge. And I’m proud to say each team performed extremely well and we smashed back-to-back quarters!

How has your work, your role, or your industry changed since the start of your career?

When I started, we didn’t have many role assistant tools to reduce admin. Theres been huge investment here. In Sales you didn’t have Go Consensus or Clari, and in other roles you basically just had Excel! Now we have so many great tools. And of course, AI, how could I not mention that!? However, in events the need for celebration, face to face marketing events and luxury incentives have stayed similar because people want to connect. But now I think they crave it even more.

What do you want to do differently in your next role or as your progress in your current role?

Utilising human psychology and my passion for human behaviour is to build creative engagement programs. And I would absolutely love to lead a team again. I think it’s a great strength of mine and I have always achieved great results, marrying that with my skills in event management and communications could be extremely exciting.

What’s your favourite memory working with Access?

Winning the Global Award for ‘helping you to be you’, all the work I did was grass roots and for that to be noticed on a global scale for a company of 6000 people (at the time) was amazing and quite emotional.

What do you think it takes to be successful at Access?

Having a 'Be 1% better each day' attitude. Lean into your strengths and seek help for your weaknesses. Get on board with change fast and finally be a good person and a good listener.

How do you personally prioritise your wellbeing, and what advice would you give to colleagues looking to do the same?

Stay in touch with who you are outside of your professional career, have hobbies, create, play, and connect with people. We are social animals and surrounding yourself with good people is vital to overall wellness. I’m also a big walker and love being among nature. Oh, and never skip your lunch break!
