The Access Group named ‘Human Company of The Year’ as UK Tech sector faces growing humanity gap

Access Group, a leading UK provider of business management software, has been named Human Company of the Year at the TLC Lions Awards. Additionally, Global Head of ES Operations, Alexandra Tureschi received the HR Leader of the Year award, further establishing Access as a global leader in people-first workplace cultures.

Launched in 2020, the Lions TLC Human Awards received entries from major organisations around the world, including Google and Deloitte, which showcase the highest levels of empathy and mental health in the workplace. By winning both Human Company of the Year and HR Leader of the Year, Access Group stands out among numerous international companies for maintaining a soul and a high level of employee engagement while undergoing significant growth in artificial intelligence.

These awards come at a critical time for the technology sector. As AI adoption increases, concerns about job security and the dehumanisation of work are growing. Access Group is recognised for its ‘Love Work. Love Life. Be You’ philosophy, a framework that has sustained high engagement during rapid international growth.

Recent Access Group research reveals a perception gap about AI: 41% of employees are concerned about its impact on their roles, compared to 25% of HR leaders. By prioritising human oversight and transparency, Access is transforming this uncertainty into a basis for stable, long-term growth and ensuring their people are supported and equipped to thrive in the AI-era.

Key impact metrics supporting this approach include:

  • An eNPS of +48, placing Access in the top 25% of highly engaged tech companies globally.

  • An eNPS of +71 for Diversity and Belonging placing Access in the top 5% of highly diverse and inclusive companies globally

  • An eNPS of +69 for Wellbeing placing Access in the top 5% of companies globally

  • Recently awarded The Workplace Wellbeing Charter accreditation from Health@Work

  • £1.55 million raised for charity in the last year alone.

  • A 47% increase in employee engagement in Romania under Alexandra Tureschi’s leadership.

“Winning Human Company of the Year proves our assertion that size and soul aren’t at odds,” said Caroline Fanning, Chief Employee Success Officer at Access Group. “In a world where technology companies tend to be perceived as simply deploying cold, automating solutions, we’ve been totally committed to empathy, wellness, and real belonging. World-class software cannot be created without world-class people who feel listened to, valued, and appreciated.”

TLC Lions judges praised Access for its Thrive cultural programme and its robust network of mental health first aiders. As the industry evolves, Access continues to set the standard for a people-first culture, ensuring that even as AI adoption moves forward, the employee experience remains the heart of the company’s mission and values.
