The formula is B = S2 x D where:
B is the Bradford Factor Score
S is the number of seperate instances of absence over a set period
D is the number of days of absence in the same period
The formula is designed to highlight frequent instances of short-term sickness absence e.g. Mondays & Fridays, allowing HR teams to investigate the validity and take action accordingly.
