You can now analyse your carbon footprint in exactly the way you analyse your financial performance - by division and department, by project and at detail level by individual staff. You can compare budget and actual month on month and year on year to drive and manage reductions.

Budgeting tools

Simple spreadsheet-style budgeting tools enable you to define budgets by Emission group (e.g. Passenger Travel) and each group is broken down by corresponding classification so that each sub-group (e.g. Sales Department) can be allocated individual targets.

Detailed analysis

A range of standard reports enable you to compare your actual and budget performance and your actual performance this year with last year. You can compare department by department by whole company or by individual project or group of staff.

Understanding the analysis

Now that you can break down your carbon usage by type of staff and their activity you can start to make decisions that will lead to reductions. Growing companies are likely to continually increase their footprint overall and so they should target to reduce their footprint per member of staff. Changing the behaviors of a single department may deliver huge benefits for the rest of the company.
