Allergen management

Legislative efforts over the last decade have seen the food business being required to be more transparent with regards to the ingredients in their dishes. 

  • 2014 food labelling law, operators were legally required to provide information on 14 allergens 
  • 2021 Natasha’s Law was introduced requiring all food outlets to provide full ingredient lists with clear allergen labelling on Pre-Packed for Direct Sale foods (PPDS) 
  • 2022 – Calorie Labelling Legilsation is now mandatory to out-of-home food businesses with 250 employees or more
