One of London’s oldest law firms is enjoying greater accessibility to data and applications after fully migrating to the cloud, supported by Oosha.
The integrated cloud IT services provider, which is now part of law technology specialist Access Legal, was appointed by Westminster-based Lee Bolton Monier Williams LLP (LBMW) to help modernise its legacy IT system.
LBMW has a long-standing reputation, advising clients across highly specialised areas in different sectors including the drinks industry, education, church and not for profit. The 70-strong firm prides itself on being a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation. However, keen to adapt to the changing needs of its clients, LBMW realised that its technology was very paper-heavy and largely based on-premise. A lack of digitalisation meant processes consumed too much time and human effort.
Initially, Oosha worked with LBMW to provide IT support but it soon became apparent that a full migration to the cloud was needed to fully support home and hybrid working, without compromising security.
With the emphasis on security for sensitive data, enabling a paper-free working environment and supporting remote workers, Oosha implemented its Virtual Desktop solution through which all LBMW’s data is stored securely in the cloud, and can be securely accessed by employees on a variety of devices through multi-factor authentication.
As a result everything is now hosted in the cloud, allowing greater accessibility to data and applications without security compromises.
Commenting on the partnership, Susie Hurst, Practice Manager at LBMW, said:
“Oosha went the extra mile to understand our working practices and provided enhanced IT support, including the provision of a support team member on-site, the introduction of a ticketing system, and eventually a full hand-over of IT support and network management to Oosha. The migration took place over a single weekend, minimising disruption to the business.”
Oosha’s co-founder, now Commercial Director at Access Legal, Matt Newton added:
“We have been helping many firms like LBMW to reduce the burden of IT support and network management.
“The vision of both Oosha and Access Legal is to ensure IT services, including cloud migration, are simple and straightforward for firms. We aim to help people in the sector realise their limitless potential by letting firms concentrate on their work, without worrying about the technology, because it just works.
“We look forward to continuing to work alongside firms like LBMW, that are continually looking ahead, dynamically client centric and embracing change.”
