Get a better understanding of your business with a range of
powerful analytical tools. From real time integration with Excel to
'slice and dice' data cubes, our easy-to-use business intelligence
functionality enables decision-makers in every department to
monitor performance, spot trends, and identify opportunities.
Two way integration with Excel
New information can be entered into Excel and uploaded into your
accounts system. All of the information within Access software can
be down loaded to Excel, worked upon and uploaded again whilst
business rules fully protect the integrity of auditable and VAT
information. This saves significant time in many of your routine
tasks such as updating stock prices or re-analysing customers by
changing their sort keys or revising your budgets.
Variations and trends
Once in Excel your information can be explored and manipulated
in every conceivable manner. Conditional formatting helps spot
anomalies and highlight variations in trends. Pivot tables help
view data in a three dimensional format to plot trends and gain
greater understanding of customer patterns of behavior.
Data cubes
Data Cubes are similar to Pivot Tables but faster to use. The
system will create any number of different cubes to answer specific
questions you may have such as, who is buying what, which projects
are over budget. Whilst with pivot tables you have the opportunity
to make up your own rules, with data cubes your staff need no
expertise in Excel they simply ask for information in plain English
and our software does all the work for them.
This is a real investigative facility which provides a numerical
picture of what it means when two or more pieces of data intersect.
For example you could look for all the customers who have paid in
cash in the last 6 months and then establish trends in what they
buy and how profitable that type of sale is. You can quickly and
easily choose how much or how little data you need to view and you
can arrange it to suit your enquiry.
Data cubes can be re-used outside of Excel. For example you can
display your favorite cubes in say Microsoft Outlook Today so that
key analytical data, for example the sales pipeline or project
information, is available and refreshed for staff who do not have
access to the finance system.
