Gold Quality Mark for Access Accounting
Colchester, UK - 25th June2007 -
Business and accounting software house, Access Accounting, has been
awarded a Gold Payroll Giving Quality Mark for its outstanding
commitment to, and success with, the payroll giving scheme promoted
by Workplace Giving UK. The mark is awarded to employers that
achieve 10 per cent employee participation in the scheme.
Pip Trowles, product manager at Access
Accounting, set up the scheme for the company. She commented,
"Payroll giving is a simple and tax efficient way for our staff to
give to the cause of their choice, as donations are automatically
deducted from their gross pay. It also took very little time to set
up - just a couple of forms and that was it.
"As a company we're involved in a number of fundraising
activities so the scheme was a natural extension to the charity and
community initiatives already in place. The success of payroll
giving at Access is testament to the continuing generosity of our
staff."
Access Accounting's main fundraising activity is through its
Charity of the Year scheme, having raised more than £26,600
since it first started in 2000; the good cause for 2007 is Stepping
Stones, based at the Wilson Marriage Community Centre in
Colchester. The software developer has also supported Stratford St
Mary Primary School by sponsoring a number of initiatives including
its Christmas card competition, enabling it to reap 100 per cent of
the proceeds from the sale of the cards for school funds.
