Customer service new appointment

Leading Hertfordshire software reseller and developer, Armstrong
Consultants, has boosted its customer service and support
department with the appointment of Robert Packwood in the role of
Customer Service Manager. In addition, Armstrong has expanded
across all areas of the company with the recruitment of seven
staff.
Robert's main role at Armstrong Consultants is to be the primary
point of contact for both customers and staff in the expanding
support department at senior management level. As well as the
day-to-day management of the 17-strong support team, he will also
be involved with projects throughout the sales, development,
delivery and sign off stages to ensure that the support team are
familiar with all aspects of customer accounts.
Chris Bayne, Managing Director at Armstrong commented: "Robert
brings a wealth of experience in project management and team
leadership in the IT sector to Armstrong. With over 1,000 supported
customers, our support department is a key area of the business and
with Robert's leadership we are confident that we will continue to
maintain the high standard of customer service that our clients
expect and to really differentiate ourselves as the reseller of
choice for our customers."
Robert joins from Connect Support Services, based in Canary
Wharf, where he led the 30-strong support team responsible for
various Microsoft platforms, Blackberry and networking issues.
Prior to this he also gained a broad overview of the IT sector at
Hydra Solutions and Fresh Egg. Robert has a BSc (Hons) Political
Science from the University of Hertfordshire and is currently
relocating to Hertfordshire from Worthing with his family.
Robert added: "As a team that is expanding all the time we need

to ensure that we have relevant and contemporary process and
procedures in place to meet the growing needs of our customers.
