Access Accounting wins four accolades in just four weeks
Colchester, UK - 3rd
December 2008 - Access Accounting has swept the board in
the 2008 awards season, winning four prestigious accolades in just
four weeks.
The business and accounting software house won the Accountancy
Age Award for the best 'Mid-tier Software Package'. This came just
days after winning the SIFT Media Software Satisfaction Award, for
the second year running, in the category of best 'Mid-Range
Software.'
Access Accounting was highly praised by the Accountancy Age
Awards judging panel for its commitment to R&D and high
customer retention rates but it was the commitment to innovation -
in the form of the recently released Accounting for Carbon
Emissions functionality - that proved the major decisive factor for
the UK-based provider.
The functionality, which is the first ever accounting system to
calculate a business' carbon footprint as part of daily activity,
was described as "a clever product...superbly timed" by a judging
panel that included Jan Babiak, global climate change and
sustainability leader for Ernst & Young. This accolade closely
follows the recent Green Business Awards where Access Accounting
received recognition as one of the highest placed IT companies in
the awards, taking highly commended in the 'Best New Product'
category. Access Accounting has also seen its third consecutive
year of achievement in the Construction Computing Awards.
John Beech, managing director of Access Accounting, commented:
"We are really excited to be awarded these respected accolades in
such a short space of time. Our products are constantly evolving
and the awards are testament to our ongoing development and
commitment to delivering innovative solutions.
"We focus on delivering real competitive advantage to our
customers and these awards, which are very customer focused, are
testament to our success."
The SIFT Media award, which is based on customer votes, saw
Access Accounting receive almost 26% of the vote and the highest
customer satisfaction rating. The Accountancy Age award is based on
real testimonials, highlighting how our customers have been able to
show the measurable benefits of the Access Dimensions solution.
The company's proven track record has resulted in a 95 percent
customer retention rate across its product range with over 750
customers willing to positively recommend Access. Access Dimensions
has led the industry by providing solutions that address business
challenges such as VAT, legislation, fraud and carbon
accounting.
