Access Accounting to launch web portal modules at Softworld

Colchester, UK - 31st August 2007 - Access Accounting will be showcasing the latest version of its flagship Dimensions solution at the Softworld Accounting and Finance Exhibition, which takes place at the NEC in Birmingham on 17th and 18th October 2007. The business and accounting software will include a suite of new web portal modules aimed at the project management-based professional services market, providing full automation of business processes.

John Beech, managing director for Access Accounting, commented, "The new modules will provide complete control over the project management lifecycle, extending the flexibility and reach of the Access Dimensions solution. Not only will the functionality allow companies to capture information, such as raising purchase requests, timesheets and expenses, from staff that may be remotely based, it will also allow them to automate many of their manual processes, saving a huge amount of time and money.

"As a result, non finance staff will have greater visibility of information, budgets and resources, allowing them to view the accurate status of projects including key milestones and work-in-progress. Combined with automatic income recognition and invoicing, on-demand reporting features and the elimination of re-keying information, this is a truly powerful, flexible solution - straight out of the box. It really will put business in the driving seat," he continued.

Each module provides full workflow control - which can be configured to specific requirements - to allow a company's business processes to be mapped into the system, creating a 'hand in glove' fit. The web-based functionality is available for any authorised user via a standard web browser using Microsoft Windows authentication to ensure complete information security.

A wide range of businesses are set to benefit from the solution, including architects, government agencies, IT companies, publishing and design agencies, and research organisations. IT solution provider Jacobs Rimell has implemented the solution. Richard Bachelor, VP Finance for the company, will be presenting a first hand account of Access Dimensions in a project-based environment, at a Softworld Masterclass on Wednesday 17th October.

Access Accounting has also produced a new Dummies guide in conjunction with the publishers of the famous reference books, Wiley. 'Accounting Software in Professional Services for Dummies' will be available totally free of charge at Softworld, providing an invaluable step-by-step guide to implementing a new business and accounting system. It includes information on project management, time recording, reporting, sales and billing, CRM and Payroll and also offers advice on avoiding the pitfalls of choosing a system as well as getting the most from the Access Dimensions solution.
