Access Accounting acquires Dublin-based reseller

20 new jobs to be created in West Dublin

Colchester, UK - 4th April 2005 - Access Accounting Ltd, leading UK accounting and business software developer, has announced the acquisition of its Dublin-based Irish reseller which will now be named Access Accounting Ireland Ltd. It will begin investment in an expansion plan that will create 20 new jobs over the next two years and triple the scale of the Irish operation by focussing on the mid market.

For the Access group, this latest purchase is part of a series of strategic acquisitions planned to broaden its position in the UK and Irish markets and expand its existing customer base of more than 10,000 clients. Last year, Access successfully acquired PumaSoft, an ERP and MRPII developer and, as a result, now offers fully integrated Supply Chain Management solutions to manufacturing and distribution companies. Access is one of a handful of developers in the world to have been awarded the Microsoft Gold Partner accreditation. It develops its products using leading Microsoft technologies.
