Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) Foundation has announced that it is looking for new members to join its XBRL Advisory Council (XAC) and XBRL Quality Review Team (XQRT).
Candidates who feel suitably apt to take on such a role will need to demonstrate their outstanding business reporting and financial experience, the IASC states.
The XAC will be responsible for providing strategic advice to the foundation's trustees and XBRL team in relation to the development and adoption of the XBRL taxonomy.
About ten members will be selected to make up the group and it is expected that those chosen will represent the diverse factors affecting the implementation of the computer language.
Recruitment to the XQRT will depend upon the applicant's experience in relation to XBRL taxonomies, quality review and project management.
In related news, chief financial officer of computer giant Microsoft Chris Liddell was recently named a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Advisory Committee to Financial Reporting, which aims to simplify financial reporting through XBRL.
