Business owners are only using an average of 20 per cent of the
capabilities of their
integrated accounts packages, it has been claimed.
According to ITBusiness.ca, companies are missing out on many of
the benefits
accounting software products can offer when it
comes to taxes.
Esther Friedberg Karp, principal of CompuBooks Business Services,
explained to the source that she hires the help of an accountant
rather than tackling taxes herself.
"Taxes strike fear in my heart," she said. "I'm not going to
practice medicine without a licence - why would I do my taxes
without a licence?"
However, the portal claimed that for those who are not scared of
learning how to use
accounting packages, there are a range of
products on the market to choose from.
In addition to this, for those who still choose to hire a
professional such as Ms Friedberg Karp,
accounting
software can help a business owner make sure all data is
correct before the accountant prepares the final statement.
Businesses are looking for reliability and stability in
accounting
packages, Accountancy Age magazine recently claimed.
