Shortlist announced for Accountancy Age awards

Accountancy Age magazine has revealed the shortlist of firms nominated for its 2007 industry awards.

Celebrating success and achievement within the industry, the ceremony is now in its 13th year and will be held on November 14th 2007.

BDO Stoy Hayward and Deloitte are among the companies nominated for the Global Firm of the Year award, while PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG have been put forward for the Tax Team of the Year prize.

The magazine is also set to name the Accountant of the Year, as well as handing out prizes in a number of software categories, including Mid-tier Software Package of the Year and Practice Management Software Package of the Year.

Last year, KPMG received the award for Corporate Finance Deal of the Year and was named Employer of the Year.

BDO Stoy Hayward was crowned the number one global firm, in a decision which "took the profession by surprise", the magazine said.
