Newly-qualified Association of Chartered Accountancy (ACA)
award-holders this Autumn will command record salaries, recruiter
Morgan McKinley has said.
The average package now offered to recent graduates by City
financial service and investment companies is worth around
£65,000 said the Morgan McKinley research.
This is calculated as a basic salary of £52,000 with an
average take-home bonus of £13,000, altogether six per cent
higher than in 2005 and 22 per cent higher than 2003.
Their contemporaries in financial control and annual audit are in
line for packages worth £58,000 and £54,000
respectively.
"The ACA qualification has always been held in high regard by
financial organisations in the City," said Morgan McKinley chief
executive Robert Thesiger.
"ACAs are in an enviable position right now as there are a host of
career paths open to them.
"However, they should think carefully about their next career move
and consider all options to ensure they take the right route from
the outset," he said.
