KPMG 'experiences 'increased demand'

KPMG has announced a $2.1 billion (£1 billion) increase in revenue and claims there is "higher demand than ever" for its services.

The global network recorded revenues of $19.8 billion during September 2006-07, compared with $16.9 billion the previous year.

Advisory services grew by 22 per cent during that time, tax by 20 per cent and audit by 13.3 per cent.

Chairman of KPMG International Timothy P Flynn said the figures back up the firm's four priorities of quality growth, global consistence, being an employer of choice and professionalism and integrity.

"The globalisation of the world's economy, the dynamic regulatory environment and the market pressure on companies to transform themselves all contributed to increased demand for KPMG's services," he added.

According to Mr Flynn, KPMG will continue to grow by globalising all aspects of its services to suit the needs of its clients.

The company was recently named Global Firm of the Year at the Accountancy Age awards.
