The International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) has launched a new web-based aid for industry workers to help accountants access articles and good practice guides.
IFACnet, a web-based resource, has been developed under the guidance of IFAC's Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Committee and is aimed at workers in industry, commerce, public sector, education and not-for-profit division.
Bill Connell, Chair of the IFAC PAIB Committee, said: "Users of IFACnet will find relevant information on a wide range of financial and
management accounting topics, including strategy, budgeting and planning, corporate governance, risk management, and professional development emphasis."
According to the IFA, the free-to-use website uses technology which is specifically geared to the accountancy profession. It indexes and filters the best and most relevant information and delivers them to users of the website.
Chris Jackson, head of the finance and management faculty at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales said the website would provide "global reach" to the services of finance and management.
