Category: Technology

In a bid to satisfy and entertain consumers there will be a growing demand for HR staff in the technology sector with senior HR positions available within companies with international remits, according to January's Talent Spotlight from Badenoch & Clark.

The report, based on insight from Badenoch & Clark's industry experts, suggests technology companies are working hard to drive efficiencies, particularly those with international markets.

Matt Gascoigne, executive director, HR, Badenoch & Clark, said: "Last year saw a growth in learning and development and change management roles - investment in people was seen as key to growth during economic uncertainty.

"HR generalists with strong commercial skills were in demand, allowing for streamlining of HR roles. From HR managers to HR business partners, the HR role became more strategic as business requirements evolved.

"Technology companies are increasingly seizing the opportunity to satisfy consumer convenience and entertainment as well as business' appetite for driving efficiencies.

"As a result it is anticipated that newer or start up technology businesses will be best placed to capitalise and this could drive fresh demand for HR professionals."

Investment in human resources is a serious consideration for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the current economic climate. In an effort to manage and review every aspect of the employee lifecycle HR software can add a new dimension to a business' way of training existing employees and recruiting new talent.

A business HR solution can revolutionise an SME's recruitment and selection processes. If a business is looking to form an HR department to take ownership of recruitment campaigns an integrated recruitment module can help plan, manage and execute campaigns to find the best talent among the growing number of unemployed professionals.

Businesses can also save on significant resource with an automated HR solution, as vacancies can be automatically uploaded for applicants to apply online, thereby saving time and money.
