BDO Stoy Hayward recorded growth of £14.2 million over the six months to the end of December, it has announced.
The firm claimed that national turnover for the half-year reached £159.8 million, compared to £145.6 million for the corresponding period in 2006.
Jeremy Newman, managing partner, stated: "Our growth enables us to continue to invest to ensure we have the necessary capability, people, expertise and international reach to offer an exceptional, high quality client experience despite the increasingly challenging economic conditions we face."
He also said that increasing demand for all the
accounting packages the firm offers is evidence that the company is being seen as a challenge to the current market and as a credible alternative.
Mr Newman added that the business is strong enough to weather further economic downturns.
For small firms who take care of their own audits, an
online accounting software package can help them to avoid a rush at the end of the tax year, the south-eastern North Carolina Star newspaper has advised.
