Cutting edge software on show at Cebit

News Article - 04 March 2008
Category:

The Cebit technology fair starts this week in Hamburg and will showcase some of the best software possible.

Among the products on display will be groundbreaking new accounting software and financial management solutions.

Over 400,000 people are expected to attend the European event, including business leaders, IT managers and consumers.

Running from March 4th to 9th, almost 6,000 companies from 77 countries will have stands at Cebit and many will use the event to launch new products and technology.

Ernst Raue, who sits on the Board of Deutsche Messe, has stated that an overall decline in exhibitor numbers is due to the weak dollar, a new liability for German VAT and growing competition in the key ICT markets, such as management reporting.

One of the key themes of the 2008 Cebit technology fair is the environment and charity Greenpeace is taking a stand in order to promote energy efficiency and green awareness.
