Experts from website theinquirer.net have said they are
"impressed" by Windows Vista after a number of changes were
implemented.
The software was trialled by the technophiles who said it was
"polished, speedy" and "good on the eye".
According to the review, the improved Vista has come a long way
since it first went into production and is now speedier and more
responsive, sliding "seamlessly" from one application to
another.
The software starts up in under 30 seconds - which is an
improvement upon earlier test models, the reviewer states.
Some issues, however, are described as irritating, such as user
interface inconsistencies and the removal of "useful" navigational
icons.
At times, the software seems to be an updated version of Windows
XP, the website suggests, but the reviewer states that the next
version of DirectX will be released as Vista-only, giving many
people a potential reason to upgrade their software.
Microsoft announced earlier this month that Vista had gone gold and
was being released to manufacturers.
