CIMA shortlists for awards

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) has announced the shortlist for its 2007 award ceremony.

Taking place on November 29th, the CIMA Financial Management Awards, in association with the Financial Times, will be held at The London Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square at a black-tie event.

CIMA states: "The awards honour those who have been inspirational in developing the finance profession and the organisations that operate within it."

Nominees for the Finance Team of the Year - Private Sector award include O2 UK, Procter and Gamble and Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance. Meanwhile Leeds City Council and Skills for Health may be recognised in the public sector alternative.

And Employer of the Year will see big names such as Ford Motor Company, Reuters, Barclays and Astra Zeneca battle it out for supremacy.

Last year BSkyB Group scooped this coveted prize, winning praise for the quality of its graduate scheme.
