Cima launches ethical guide

News Article - 23 May 2012

Members of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Cima) could be set to benefit from a new ethical guidance booklet published recently.

The publication has been produced by Cima in collaboration with the Institute of Business Ethics (IBE) to help members achieve high ethical standards.

Entitled Living Up To Our Values - Developing Ethical Assurance, the guide also aims to highlight the advantages of good business ethics to company directors.

Robin Vaughan, director of professional standards at Cima, said: "This is an example of Cima doing work cooperatively with others to ensure a better framework for ethical assurance issues and we were delighted to offer assistance to the IBE's editorial board."

He added that the institute's own code of conduct provided members who were addressing ethical issues with help and that Cima staff would offer support to those who may be struggling.

Last month, Cima launched a risk guide on pensions to help organisations manage their pension schemes.
