Cima celebrates member success

Members, students and suppliers of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (Cima) were honoured for their outstanding global success this year in an awards ceremony last Thursday.

The Cima Financial Management Awards were organised in association with the Financial Times and recognised financial teams in the private and public sectors, tutors and employers for their contribution and inspiration to the profession.

Gordon Grant, president of Cima, said that he was encouraged to see previous individuals and organisations returning alongside new entries and that the high standard of entrants was "marvellous".

"Cima members and students are employed across a diverse range of challenging and high profile environments and the variety of the nominations we received this year reflects this," he added.

The institute recently celebrated their progress in Scotland with a luncheon in Edinburgh, toasting to the achievement of 3,000 Scottish Cima members and 2,000 students working to become members.
