New research has revealed that failure to answer emails could
cost companies millions of pounds of business.
A survey conducted by Vodafone found that 85 per cent of
businesses have received no response to a business enquiry at some
point.
With 79 per cent of those organisations surveyed admitting they
did not have a formal system for responding to email enquiries,
Vodafone said that on average, not replying to emails costs a
business £18,000 a year in lost revenue, Accounting Web reports.
Kyle Whitehall, director of the enterprise business unit at
Vodafone UK, said that new technologies have helped to change
business expectations.
"As the world becomes more demanding it is vital for business to
be able to take advantage of opportunities when they arise by being
flexible, responsive and available at all times," he
commented.
In related news, Corinne Dauncey of theACCOUNTANCYjob.com,
