Accountant scoops award

A UK-based chartered accountant has become the first female
accountant in history to win the Institute of Chartered Accountants
in England and Wales (ICAEW) Outstanding Achievement award, in
recognition of ongoing efforts in the accountancy sector.
Teresa Graham OBE is currently a business accountant, having
qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers in
1980. Since becoming a partner at Baker Tilly in 1989, Ms Graham
now works as an independent consultant.
With a long and lustrous history of accountancy Ms Graham has
emerged as the winner in this year's ICAEW Outstanding Achievement
award, celebrating her work with small and medium-sized businesses.
"I am deeply honoured to have been presented with this award for
outstanding achievement," commented Ms Graham.
"It is particularly special to me as it is given by my peers within
the accountancy profession, so many of whom l have known and
admired for so long."
First introduced in 1980 the ICAEW Outstanding Achievement award
will be presented on March 6th.
