More accountancy firms are planning to list their companies on the stock market in the forthcoming 24 months, a survey has shown.
According to research by broker Noble & Company, the sector can provide investors with a number of benefits, such as high capital returns and good quality returns, as well as high quality earnings.
The business' chief executive John Llewellyn-Lloyd said: "Increased regulation and a trend for corporates to outsource are fuelling growth and more
accounting firms are exploring the benefits of listing."
He added that the accountancy sector provided a strong case for investment, also including several counter-cynical options should the market face a downturn.
Listing allows companies to motivate staff directly and transparently as well as improving their access to capital and overseas fund expansion, Mr Llewellyn-Lloyd stated.
Alan Fletcher, partner of international law firm Eversheds, recently told the Journal that small businesses should not to be afraid of listing on the alternative investment market.
